A 17-year old female was shot dead inside her unit in a compound in Brgy. Ibayo-Tipas, Taguig City Saturday evening, authorities reported.
The Taguig City Police Substation 5 identified the victim as Charline Mae Santos.
Initial police investigation said a witness heard successive bursts of gunshots coming from the adjacent room.
The witness reportedly went to the victim’s room and saw her lying on the floor.
The victim was then rushed to Cruz-Rabe Maternity and General Hospital and was later transferred to Taguig-Pateros District Hospital. An attending physician declared the victim dead on arrival.
It was still unknown why the victim was transferred from Cruz-Rabe Hospital to a different hospital.
Friends and families of the victim as well as the initial police report indicated a certain “Yoko” or Yokoh Sen Dela Cruz, as the alleged suspect of the brutal murder, and the partner of the gunman, a certain Micale Bambico, as an alleged accomplice.
Bambico and Santos, according to the friends of the victim, have a long history of quarrels and confrontations.
