In a video shared across her social media platforms, vlogger Mimiyuuuh expressed her views and dating advice regarding the importance of being with a financially stable partner. However, this perspective received criticism from certain netizens, who went as far as labeling her as ‘matapobre’.
“’Yun nga po, opo, nagkaroon ako ng interview with Cosmo kung saan nagbigay po ako ng advices. And yes, I said what I said about huwag makipag-date sa mga taong walang pera,” the vlogger started.
“Walang pera, hindi naman po ibig sabihin na mag-date kayo ng mga milyonaryo, mga bilyonaryo, mga naka-Porsche, hindi po ganon. Mag-date kayo ng someone na may drive. Mag-date kayo ng someone na kayang dalhin ang sarili. ‘Yung hindi mangungutang at aasa sa inyo. ‘Yun lang po yon, period,” she continued.
The social media star also expressed her disappointment to people who branded her as a snob disregarding and forgetting the fact that she, too, came from humble beginnings.
“Kaya medyo nalungkot po ako sa mga taong sinasabing matapobre daw ako, na parang hindi daw po ako galing sa hirap. Galing po ako sa hirap. Pero nakipagdate po ba ako nang wala akong pera? Hindi po,” Mimiyuuuh added.
“Maybe because wala pong nagkakagusto sa akin during that time, but at the same time, alam ko po kasi ang priority ko at that time. Priority ko po kasi na ayusin ‘yung buhay ko, family ko, career ko, at priority ko ring gawing buo ang sarili ko bago po ako magdagdag ng ibang tao sa buhay ko. Kasi nga po, ayaw kong maging pabigat sa ibang tao,” explained the content creator.
