National Bureau of Investigation director Medardo De Lemos has apologized for the “sexy dance” performance before NBI officials after a command conference on June 30.

De Lemos said they are finding out who brought the sexy dancers to the post-conference “fellowship.”

“If this dance after the command conference offended the sensibilities of our citizens, particularly the women, we apologize,” he said in a news conference.

“We will not hesitate to dismiss (the persons involved) if dismissal is the penalty,” he added.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) will investigate the incident as well.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on Thursday said the DOJ would investigate the “sexy dance,” a video of which has gone viral.

“Definitely, we do not like this to happen, no. We will investigate it also,” Remulla said. “These are the forms of misbehavior that we don’t need in the country.”
