Digitally-enabled customer experience and IT company TELUS International Philippines turned over its P2.35 million donation to World Vision and the Department of Education’s “Abutin Na10″ fundraising campaign to ensure continuous learning of public school children.
Through TELUS International Philippines’ “Share to Care” shirt drive, more than 7,300 employees raised the donation in support of Abutin N10’s education initiatives in Lanao Del Norte and other area programmes of World Vision in the country.
“Abutin Na10, Para sa Sampung Milyong Mag-aaral: Sampung Piso, Sampung Araw, Sampung Milyong Filipino” is a nationwide fundraising campaign led by World Vision in partnership with DepEd. The campaign aims to contribute to the funding of DepEd’s Learning Continuity Plan to support public school students through the provision of educational materials like modules, gadgets, and instructional packets.
“We are grateful to TELUS International Philippines for their support of our Abutin Na10 program. This will go a long way in giving our children access to the education they need to build a brighter future,” says World Vision Philippines national director Rommel Fuerte.
TELUS International Philippines’ “We Give Where We Live” philosophy is not just manifested in their donation drives.
The company also organizes volunteering activities for their employees all throughout the year through their TELUS Days of Giving program.
It also also has a fund granting foundation called TELUS International Philippines Community Board, which supports worthy causes to help communities with unique needs across the country.
Abutin Na10 has mobilized its volunteer partners to raise funds for the children’s learning continuity plan since 2021.
The company raised P1 million for the AP in Cebu in 2021 and P1.3 million for AP Bohol plus another P100,000 for Brigada Pagbasa (Virtual) for AP Manila in 2022.
The compay raised P167,000 this year for the ongoing Brigada Pagbasa (F2F) in AP Malabon.
This brings to a total of more than P4.9 million in donations by TELUS International Philippines.
