The city government of Las Piñas on Friday announced it has started the construction of new structures at the city’s College of Engineering Nene Aguilar Campus in Barangay Talon Dos.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the construction of an additional college building is part of her prioritized educational program to deliver better quality education and free schooling for the people.
She added this project was made possible with the help of the vice-mayor and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (City Council) who allocated sufficient funds to be used in such programs.
Aguilar also announced that more than 4,000 scholars are expected to benefit from free college education when the construction of the said campus is completed.
She further emphasized the importance of the new college building because it will provide modern facilities to students who wish to study for free in various engineering courses.
Aguilar expressed confidence this will create many talented and professional engineers from Las Piñas who will bring success and honor not only to the city but to the rest of the world.
The city chief executive said the project is one of her projects to return the favor to the trust and tireless support of her constituents.
