This is as an added protection of passengers against COVID-19, amid the reported increase in the incidence of the disease in some areas including Metro Manila. There are assigned security marshals at stations and trains throughout the line, to remind passengers of such policy. Security marshals and station staff also use the Public Address (PA) system to remind them of the line's minimum health and safety protocols. MRT-3 implements the following health protocols against COVID-19, according to the recommendation of health experts: (1) constant wearing of face masks, (2) prohibition of talking and talking on the phone, (3) prohibition of eating, drinking and smoking, (4) maintaining proper and adequate ventilation in PUVs, (5) always carrying out disinfection, (6) prohibition of boarding passengers with symptoms of COVID-19 in public transportation, and (7) ) Always following the rule of appropriate physical distancing.
