Stretching through Barangay Agcuyawan Pulo in the town of Barotac Nuevo, the concreting of the 1.9-kilometer road was undertaken by DPWH Iloilo 2ndDistrict Engineering Office.

DPWH Region 6 Director Nerie Bueno said the concrete road will not only ensure the safety of motorists, but also facilitate ease of transportation in the area by reducing the flow of traffic in the town proper.

“The upgraded road will provide economic benefits to local communities as it increases the efficiency of goods and services delivery, boosts tourism development, and opens more job opportunities,” said Director Bueno.

Meanwhile, the DPWH also completed a road project in Barangay Old San Jose and the construction of a flood control structure in Barangay Roosevelt,  in the Municipality of Dinalupihan, Bataan.

The DPWH finished the concreting of 1.67 kilometers of a local road that connects the community to the Angeles-Porac-Floridablanca-Dinalupihan Road.

The completed road project will provide safer and more convenient access to the various agro-tourism related attractions in Dinalupihan town.
