WOMEN PDLS — Marking the International Women's Day, Amihan National Federation of Peasant Women, Tanggol Magsasaka, and Free Our Sisters -Southern Tagalog hold a protest against militarization of countryside, rampant abuses, and rights violations against rural and peasant women perpetrated by government forces at the Department of National Defense, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Groups said that the activity was part of #DefendPeasantWomen campaign to demand justice for extra-judicial killings. Moreover, demand the release of 94 peasant women political prisoners (including 76 under Duterte and 2 under Marcos Jr) and dismissal of trumped -up cases filed against them..MANNY PALMERO

In conjunction with the observance of International Women’s Day, members of the militant Amihan National Federation of Peasant Women, the Tanggol Magsasaka, and the Free Our Sisters -Southern Tagalog chapter stage a protest rally at the main gate of Camp Aguinaldo, headquarters of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Department of National Defense, to denounce alleged abuses and human rights violations committed by the military against women in the countryside.
