Rep. Teves graces PNP-Training Institute graduation

Negros Oriental Rep. Arnie Teves challenged the new police officers to remain devoted to their chosen carrier when he was one of the guests of honor at the graduation of the National Police Training Institute (NPTI) recently in Camp BGen Vicente P. Lim in Calamba City, Laguna.

Teves was formally invited to the event by the National Headquarters/National Support Units (NHQNSUs) as the keynote speaker during the graduation rites for the new set of police officers.

“I have faith in our police officers. Although there are a few misfits in the rank, most are faithful to their sworn duties and responsibilities and are devoted to serving the country and the Filipino people,” Teves told the audience.

Teves also said that if there are some scalawags in the PNP, the law must run after them but not involve the whole PNP organization in the fault of only a few.

“As young officers, don’t be tempted by anything that would make you betray your loyalty and devotion to your chosen carrier–that is to serve and protect the country and its people. Remain a true-blue police officer until the end of your service,” Teves added.

Teves also acknowledged the very important role the PNP and its officers play in preserving peace and order not only in the metropolis but also in the countryside.

“I know that you would be faithful to your sworn duties. I will pray that may God would protect you, especially when you are performing your responsibilities,” he said.
