Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan led the celebration of Ethics Day at the Northern Police District (NPD) Headquarters this
Monday, January 16 in celebration of Ethics Day where he reminded the police force to live up to its core values and likewise praised NPD on its efforts to maintain peace and order in the regional district.
“Malaking responsibilidad ang pagiging miyembro ng ating pambansang kapulisan. Today, we celebrate Ethics Day to remind you to live up to
the values institutionalized by the Philippine National Police,” he said.
“Mahalagang bahagi po kayo ng pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan, kaayusan at pagsulong ng kaunlaran ng ating siyudad,” the Mayor added.
In a short speech, the local chief executive also encourage NPD officers to conform to the standard of humility and nationalism to serve as an example to the youth.
“Alam niyo ho, maraming kabataan ang patuloy na nangangarap maging pulis dahil nakikita nila ang kagitingan at pagmamahal niyo sa bayan. Ipagpatuloy niyo po ito at maging mabuting halimbawa para sa kanila,” Mayor Along said.
“Nawa’y dumami pa ang ating kapulisan at magkaisa tayo katuwang ng Simbahan at ordinaryong mamamayan tungo sa isang mapagmalasakit na pamayanan,” the Mayor remarked.
The said event was also attended by NPD Director PBGEN Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., Officer-in-charge Deputy District Director for Administration and Deputy District for Operations PCol. Erosito Miranda, Chief District Directorial Staff PCol. Joyce Patrick Sangalang and PCol. Ruben Lacuesta.
