Sateco AG, a Swiss manufacturer of high-precision silicone keypads and silicone sensors, is investing P800 million in a manufacturing plant registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.
“The company is very much upbeat on their manufacturing operations in the Philippines. They plan to finish the construction of its state-of-the-art plant by September 2023 and start production by end of the year. They want to complement their operations in China to cater to North America and Japanese markets,” said Trade Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo.
The Philippines also anticipates the entry of several Swiss enterprises following the 5th Philippine-Switzerland Joint Economic Commission meeting hosted by the Swiss government on Jan. 12 to 14, 2023 in Bern, Switzerland.
Sateco supplies its products to major automotive players like Daimler, BMW, Tesla and Mitsubishi Motors. Othel V. Campos
