As festivities for the Sinulog Festival 2023 kicked off in the city of Cebu, Talisay City bet Kiara Lalaine Wellington emerged as the Sinulog Queen Festival after dazzling the crowd with her unique and colorful costume.
Aside from clinching the title, Wellington was also named Miss Angkas 2023 and received P10,000 from the country’s premiere motorcycle-hailing app.
No less than Angkas chief executive officer George Royeca awarded the cash prize to Wellington. He was also joined by former PBA player Dondon Hontiveros, who now serves as Cebu City councilor.
“Thank you for patronizing Angkas, and we assure you that we will work hard to help Cebu in having better public transportation,” said Royeca.
On Sunday, Angkas is providing free rides to Sinulog pilgrims who will join the procession.
