Johnson & Johnson Philippines, together with ABS-CBN Foundation’s child protection program, Bantay Bata 163, recently held a community outreach project at ABS-CBN Children’s Village in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
The outreach project is part of a long-standing partnership between J&J Philippines and ABS-CBN Foundation to provide care and support to different sectors in the country that need help.
During the visit, volunteers from J&J Philippines participated in different activities that brought smiles to the kids in the Children’s Village.
In return, scholars from the Bantay Edukasyon program, together with the kids, entertained the volunteers with a number of musical performances.
“Being present and involving ourselves in communities where we work and play is what we value the most. As for the children, they are the center of this endeavor and we are in the business of taking care of people. It is only apt that we go here especially during a time where help is needed” said Ana Ongpin, communication and public affairs lead of Johnson & Johnson Philippines.
The J&J volunteers also participated in a vegetable planting activity to help support the village garden.
J&J Philippines also donated care packages to ABS-CBN Children’s Village that contain several personal care products for the kids to use.
“Talaga naman nag-enjoy and mga bata dito sa ABS-CBN Children’s Village kaya naman taos pusong pasasalamat sa J&J Philippines sa pag bisita. This is very important to us because partnerships with private companies like Johnson & Johnson help us care for more children and families, and helps spread our advocacy across. Pinaka importanteng namemeet dito yung goal namin for the last 25 years na lahat ng bata sa Pilipinas ay free from child abuse and kami yung safe space nila para makamit ito” said Levi Ambon-Ropa, ABS-CBN foundation program head.
