Thinking that desserts have always provided people with a creative outlet and a sense of comfort—things one needed, desperately, to survive the lockdowns—Nancho began to share the homemade creations to close friends and relatives at first. It became a weekend hobby until Doughmain started growing an online community and Nancho had to expand operations.
Doughmain attracted a lot of customers, pushing Nancho to operate five days a week and to deliver throughout Metro Manila and other neighboring provinces such as Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, and Bulacan.
The doughnuts also started appearing in pop-up events in some of the major malls in Metro Manila.
