Fish Vendor and Tricycle Driver Bring Home Lotto 6/42 Jackpot!

Mandaluyong City – Two fortunate jackpot winners from separate Lotto 6/42 draws collected their prize money at the PCSO Main Office, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.

The first individual is a 35-year-old fish vendor from Pasig City who held on to his lucky numbers for eigt long years. He claimed the P24, 684,429.00 jackpot prize after hooking the winning combination of 28-10-30-08-01-16 drawn on October 25, 2022, televised on PTV-Channel4. The lucky winner mentioned that the lucky numbers he picked during his lotto play were a combination of his and his partner’s birthdates.

Nagpapasalamat ako sa PCSO sa mga pagkakataong ibinibigay nila na nakakapagpagbago ng buhay ng mga tao at sa gaya ko na sinuwerte po ngayon. Ang premyo pong nakuha ko ngayon ay mapupunta at ibabahagi ko sa aking pamilya lalo na sa mga kapatid ko. Sana marami pa kayong matulungan at sana marami ding makakuha ng swerte tulad ng nakamit ko po. Salamat PCSO.”

When asked how he plans to spend his winnings, he replied, “Sa ngayon, ipangpupuhunan ko muna po sa magiging bagong negosyo ko. Yung iba, itatabi ko muna po sa banko.”

On the other hand, the 29-year-old tricycle driver from San Antonio, Zambales also drove home half of the P5,940,000.00 Lotto 6/42 jackpot drawn on November 8, 2022 with the winning numbers 09-06-29-07-05-19.

According to him, the winning combination consisted of his family’s and relatives’ birthdates. He has been playing lotto games for a couple of years, hopeful that he will finally become a lotto winner.

“Thankful ako sa PCSO kasi sila ang naging daan para mabibiyaan ako ng ganitong kalaking halaga na magagamit ko para sa pag-aaral at kinabukasan ng aking mga anak. Isa po akong tricycle driver at maliit lang ang kinikita sa araw-araw kaya napakalaking tulong po nito.”

According to Republic Act No. 1169, winners have one (1) year from the date of the draw to collect their prizes or it will be forfeited and will form part of the PCSO Charity Fund. Additionally, PCSO reminds the public that all lotto prizes must be claimed at the PCSO Main Office, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.

Winners must sign and write their names at the back of the winning ticket and present two (2) government-issued identification cards in order to claim their winnings.

In accordance with the TRAIN Law, prizes above Php10,000.00 are subject to a 20% tax.
