Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan congratulated the 235 job applicants who were hired on-the-spot in the city’s fourth Mega Job Fair since July this year.
“Congratulations po sa ating mga na hired on-the-spot! Galingan niyo po, mga Batang Kankaloo. Kung ano man po ang posisyon niyo ngayon, sikapin niyo pong pagbutihin para sa inyong mga pamilya,” the Mayor said.
The said event was held at Caloocan Sports Complex, Bagumbong, wherein 6,000 job opportunitieswere open for the jobseekers through the coordination of the Public Service Employment Office (PESO) and its partner agencies.
According to PESO Officer-in-charge Ms. Violeta Gonzales, since Mayor Along’s term, the city’s local recruitment activities and mega job fairs resulted to over 5,896 jobs for Caloocan City residents.
Moreover, a total of 34,610 job opportunities were open to the citizens since July 2022 from its partners including SM Supermarket, Watsons, EEI Corporation, Alorica and VXI, among others.
Mayor Along also expressed his sincerest gratitude to the employers for helping the city government in its mission to improve every family’s quality of life through continuous and equal opportunities for all.
“Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagtitiwala sa mga taga-Caloocan. Asahan niyo pong hindi namin ito sasayangin, masisipag at magagaling po ang mga Batang Kankaloo,” he said.
“Salamat po sa pakikibahagi sa ating hangarin na maiangat ang kalidad ng buhay ng ating mga kababayan. Isa lang po ito sa ating mga programa na magtitiyak na bawat tahanan ay mayroong pantay na oportunidad para kumita,” the Mayor added.
Likewise, there was a “one-stop-shop” for government services open for those who need their requirements and other documents which include booths from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Philhealth, PAGIBIG Fund and others.
