Property developer SM Prime Holdings Inc., said Wednesday it will open its newest shopping mall in Sorsogon City on Oct. 28.
SM Prime said in a disclosure to the stock exchange the two-level SM City Sorsogon would have 40,000 square meters of gross floor area offering shopping, dining and entertainment to customers.

The mall is 85-percent leased out to tenants including anchor tenants The SM Store, SM Supermarket, Watsons, Miniso, Surplus Shop, Ace Hardware, Sports Central, SM Appliance and BDO Unibank Inc.
It will also house three SM cinemas, food court, cyberzone, wellness and services hubs, amusement, leisure and hobbies shops, parking space with more than 700 slots and a public transport terminal to provide additional convenience.
SM City Sorsogon is located along Maharlika Highway, Balogo, East District, Sorsogon City in Sorsogon province.
“SM City Sorsogon is our fourth mall in the Bicol Region, which comes after SM City Naga, SM City Legazpi and SM City Daet. We are truly grateful for the trust and support of our fellow Bicolanos as we continue to expand our reach in the region,” Lim said.
SM City Sorsogon is SM Prime’s 81st mall in the Philippines, including 57 in the provincial areas and 24 in Metro Manila.
It is the third SM mall to open this year after SM City Roxas and SM City Tanza. SM will also open another mall this year in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
