Japanese parts manufacturer builds P230-m facility in Hermosa Ecozone

Automotive parts manufacturer Yokowa Manufacturing of the Philippines set up a P230-million facility inside the Hermosa Ecozone Industrial Park in Bataan province.

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Japanese electrical machinery and automotive parts maker Yokowo Co. Ltd., the local unit joined the distinct roster of locators and enterprises of industrial park developer Science Park of the Philippines Inc.

Yokowo’s 3.7-hectare factory will produce automotive wiring harness and components. Operations will be supported by at least 800 plant and administrative employees.

The firm’s operation is expected to contribute to the country’s auto parts exports to buttress the Philippine’s position as a leading global auto parts manufacturer.

A member of the ICCP Group, SPPI owns develops, and operates private economic zones estates in Cabuyao and Calamba in Laguna provinde, Sto. Tomas and Malvar in Batangas province, Hermosa in Bataan province and Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu province.

SPPI is one of the largest private ecozone developers with almost 800 hectares of aggregate area. Its locators include companies from diverse nationalities and business sectors.

Most of the companies are Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, American, Australian and European, including major multinational companies and Fortune 1000 and Forbes Global 2000 companies.
