The Tabloids Organization of Philippine Sports’ ‘Usapang Sports’ returns to its live discussions with guests from the swimming community this Thursday, 10:30 a.m. at the Behrouz Restaurant, 50 Scout Tobias corner Brg. Laging Handa in Timog, Quezon City.
Four of the eight-member Philippine Team, led by national junior record holder Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, that will be fielded by the Philippine Swimming Inc. at the World Championship next month are expected to provide the latest details on their training and preparations for the prestigious event slated from August 30 to September 4 in Lima, Peru.
The 16-year-old Mojdeh will be joined by fellow club team BEST elite swimmers Amina Isabelle Bungubung and siblings Ruben and Heather White in the sports forum that will be held face-to-face for the first time after two years of a Zoom platform. The other members of the team are Joshua Gabriel Ang, Alexander Georg Eichler, Gian Santos and Mishka Sy.
Triathlon coach Vince Garcia, Managing Director of FINIS Philippines, also confirmed his presence to discuss the scheduled Mindanao leg of the FINIS Short Course Swim Championship in Digos City, as well as the preparations for the National Finals of the tournament scheduled next month at the Clark City pool.
TOPS president Maribeth Repizo-Santos also invited newly appointed Commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission, bowling legend Olivia ‘Bong’ Coo.
Santos invites all members and officials, as well as members of the sportswriting community to join the discussion at the TOPS’ newest home, the Behrouz Restaurant.
