TWICE renews contracts with JYP in advance, excited for new projects

TWICE, one of JYP Entertainment’s groundbreaking artists, finally confirmed its contract renewal, breaking the seven-year jinx. All nine members decided to renew their contract last July 12 before its expiration this upcoming autumn.

Since the group’s debut on October 15, Twice gathered a lot of fans called Once, which helped JYP Entertainment further establish its brand and widen its horizons worldwide. Moreover, the label mentioned that renewing the contract will help fully support the band to grow as a top global girl group. Twice already proved their relevance in Korea and globally, receiving numerous grand prize awards, selling 10 million albums, and were the first Kpop girl group to hold a concert in Japan dome, with over 20 music videos accumulating over 100 million views.

Meanwhile, Twice recently announced a surprise comeback announcement about their 11th mini album, “Between1&2,” which will be dropped on August 26 at 1 pm KST.
