Taxpayers can now avoid the long queues at the Bureau of Internal Revenue, after GCash made it possible for individuals to pay income taxes safely and securely through mobile phones.
“All you have to do is download the GCash app and create your account. Once you’re ready to make your payment, just log in to your GCash account, go to “Pay Bills” and select “BIR” for your payment,” GCash said in a statement.
“Remember to input the details: BIR Form, Return Period, TIN, the branch code, amount, and email address. Once all details are confirmed, just press the payment button and you’re all done! Just make sure to save a screenshot of the payment. You’ll receive confirmation of payment in three days free of charge,” it said.
“At GCash, our company’s thrust is to make our users’ lives safe and more convenient, especially since the pandemic isn’t over. Through the GCash app, you can send BIR tax payments safely and securely in the comfort of your own home,” said GCash president and chief executive Martha Sazon.
