While waiting for the second season taping of Agimat ng Agila, actor and politician Sen. Bong Revilla visited some places in the Visayas badly hit by super typhoon Odette over a month ago.
His last stopovers were in Siargao and Dinagat Islands last Thursday, Jan. 20.
In coordination with Kaagapay sa Araw ng Pangangailangan-Bayanihan Relief (KAP-BR), Sen. Bong distributed food packs, rice and UPVC roof, and various roofing panels for devastated homes in the two islands.
Thousands of food packs, sacks of rice, and ten thousand UPVC roof and roofing panels were given to the typhoon victims.
The aid was turned over through Dapa Command Center, headed by League of Mayors of the Philippines President and Mayor Liza Resurrecion of Pilar, Surigao del Norte.
Also at hand during the turnover was Davao Mayor Sara Duterte, who had earlier accepted the chairmanship of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats.
Sen. Bong was joined in this aid-giving by the first nominee for the Agimat Partylist Bryan Revilla.
On Dinagat Island, Sen. Bong and entourage were welcomed by Congressman Alan Ecleo and Vice Governor Nilo Demery, who later received during the turn-over the food packs, rice, and roofing materials.
Realizing the aid was not enough, Sen. Bong promised to go back there for more food packs, rice, and roofing materials to the other victims of super typhoon Odette.
