Petron restores typhoon-hit stations

Petron Corp. said Monday all its stations that sustained damage in the Visayas and Mindanao were restored and became operational less than a month after the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.

The company said that from its terminals down to its stations, it demonstrated the strength and resilience of its operations amid challenges posed by the typhoon.

Petron said its on-ground teams worked double-time to fast-track the restoration and reopening of stations that had to close down to undergo damage assessment and repair.

The company said repair works were still ongoing in a few more stations in Bohol, Cebu and Siargao—among the hardest hit areas by the typhoon.

“The recovery of Visayas and Mindanao regions from typhoon Odette is just beginning. There are still so many damaged structures and properties, business operations have yet to normalize, and a lot of our kababayans are still facing uncertainty in their daily lives. We’re committed to doing all we can to help in their recovery and gatting all our operations back on track,” Petron chairman Ramon Ang said.
