Mindanao Star Bus Transport Inc. said over the weekend it remains committed to providing quality public transportation in the region amid the challenges brought about by the global pandemic.
Leo Rey Yanson, who was re-elected chairman and president during the company’s stockholders’ meeting on Jan. 15, said despite the challenges faced in 2021, MSBTI continued to be strong and resilient.
“It continues to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino people. MSBTI remains committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation for all,” he said.
The company said that during the annual meeting, Olivia Yanson, Leo Rey Yanson, Ginnette Yanson Dumancas, Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo and Arvin John Villaruel were re-elected as members of board of directors.
The board also held an organizational meeting where Leo Rey Yanson was re-appointed chairman of the board and president of MSBTI and Olivia Yanson as corporate secretary and treasurer.
Olivia was appointed last year by a Bacolod court to be the special administrator of the estate of her late husband Ricardo Yanson.
The newly re-appointed board said they are excited to see how they can continue to push boundaries to provide quality transportation to every Filipino despite the challenges of the pandemic.
