My Furry Bestie

This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

My Furry Bestie

CHIN was seen looking for food in the garbage can inside the garage of Lianne Pacambas.

“We started feeding her and she never left so we decided to keep her,” Lianne says.

She is now about six months old.

“She likes playing with plastic bottles and scratching our sofa leg but Mom doesn’t mind,” Lianne says, “The throw pillows are all hers.”

Lianne adds: “She loves being fed with fish and bread. She has cat food but doesn't really like munching on it.”

Lianne had her vaccinated so she is protected from communicable diseases.

“She sleeps by the window where it's cozy for her,” Lianne says.

MAGNUS, now two years old, was found inside a trash bin by China de Jesus.

China heard a loud cry coming from the garbage bin and took a peak.

“Magnus was wrapped in a  plastic bag. I did not waste time getting him, thinking it was so sealed, he might suffocate,” China shares.

“He was brought home where we took care of him. The vet said he was like a three-day-old pup when he was found,” China recalls.

China says that today, Magnus is a very healthy baby boy.

“He loves walking and playing with me during the weekends. He loves playing with his stuffed toy rabbit which I bought for him. He sleeps on my bed and freely roams around the house. We feed him with dog food and treats. He will forever be loved,” China says.
