Scholars of Cebu-based mining firm Carmen Copper Corp. volunteer to help in the repacking of goods to be extended as relief aid to communities affected by typhoon Odette (Rai) which hit the Visayas and Mindanao on Dec. 16, 2021. To further help prepare its communities in Toledo City for the oncoming weather disturbance, Carmen Copper posted relevant typhoon advisories on social media. While Typhoon Odette battered Cebu province, Carmen Copper employees crossed the streets amid toppled posts and uprooted trees to deliver food packs. When the storm subsided, Carmen Copper prioritized food and water provisions for its communities.
