Filipino import Bobby Ray Parks shot 12 points for the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins as they routed Osaka Evessa, 108-84, Wednesday night in the 2021-22 B.League tournament at the Ookini Arena, Maishima.
After breaking away from a 46-all tie after the halftime break, the Diamond Dolphins struck with a 36-point third quarter, while limiting Evessa for 15 points in the early part of the second half.
Coty Clarke put in 10 of his 23 points during the third. He went on to finish with nine rebounds and six assists for the Diamond Dolphins.
Clarke’s triple in the last 8:38 of the third touched off an 8-0 run, which allowed the Diamond Dolphins to enjoy an 82-61 spread with seven seconds left in the period.
The Diamond Dolphins improved to 17-7 after claiming their eighth straight win in the West District standings, while Evessa fell to 12-12.
Meanwhile, Kiefer Ravena and Shiga took a 67-92 loss from Hiroshima at Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall.
Shiga’s setback comes after two straight wins as the Lakestars remained at 8th spot with a 9-15 slate and within reach of a quarterfinals berth.
