In anticipation of the Yuletide cheer, The Autohub Group recently hosted a Christmas gathering for all members of the local motoring media; striking updates, fun prizes, and fond memories were definitely a huge takeaway after an afternoon of “adding inspiration” to the season.

However, one of the main highlights of the event was the much anticipated unveiling of the 2022 MINI Countryman – 19 months after its global introduction. Being the largest, albeit the most versatile member of the MINI family, this facelifted Countryman possesses a precisely refined design with attractive additions to its external features, as well as added operational technology inside – which underline the exceptional identity of this new model within the premium compact segment.

To briefly dissect what’s new with the 2022 MINI Countryman, we start off with what can be seen on the outside. Boasting a sharper front grille, MINI’s signature Piano Black exterior trim, and contoured LED head and fog lights, the new Countryman stares right at you with a sophisticated grunt. In addition, a redesigned rear apron along with MINI’s signature “Union Jack” taillights give the Countryman that distinguished identity on the road – not to mention its classy 19-inch alloy wheels.

Onto the interior and the first thing you’ll notice is the new 5-inch digital cockpit display which replaces the traditional MINI analog gauges found in most, if not, all of their prior models. You now have a more ”new-aged” experience of viewing the speedometer, multi-information display, and other gauges (among others) whilst driving your Countryman. In addition, the steering wheel also features a more sporty finish with added media controls, which can all be mainly monitored and administered through its 8.8-inch center touchscreen infotainment system.

The facelifted Countryman also comes with the newly-introduced MINI “Connected Media” and “Connected Navigation” features wherein Apple Carplay, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity come in as standard.

Finally, the new MINI Countryman is powered by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter TwinPowerTurbo engine producing 192HP with 280Nm of torque (0-100KPH in 7.5 seconds), all driven by a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The 2022 MINI Countryman comes in a wide selection of colorways, with its two new finishes – Sage Green Metallic and White Silver Metallic – headlining your choices AND can be yours for the SRP of PHP 3,750,000.00.
