Beauty queens among most influential personalities of 2020

Beyond the glitz, glamor, and showstopping performances in Miss Universe lies the heart of the competition: advocacy. This is why, like every pageant fanatic in the country, Sendwave, a fee-free money transfer app with close connections to the communities it serves, is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of Miss Universe Philippines.

Sendwave, which recently expanded its service in the Philippines, chose to support the service-driven mission of this global pageant by helping Miss Universe Philippines, Bea Gomez, on her road to the crown.

“Filipinos are passionate about beauty pageants and love to show support for their contestants—no matter where they are in the world,” said Gazini Ganados, Miss Universe Philippines 2019 and Sendwave brand ambassador.

“I’m proud to represent a company that truly cares about the community it serves,” the beauty queen added.

“The pandemic revealed a need to shift toward more digital options for sending money,” said Will Fogel, CEO of Sendwave. “We wanted to help address that for the Filipino community and provide them with a more affordable way to send funds to the people they care about.”
