‘Grateful Tuesdays’ gives Christmas aid to solo parents

Everyday these ‘Ber’ Months is a Tuesday for Chemist-Philanthropist Pinky Tobiano, because her gift-giving continues in several barangays visited by her team.

As of today, Grateful Tuesdays has already helped 120,000 families since the onset of the pandemic.

The gift-giving happened last Saturday afternoon of Dec. 11, in the covered court of ‘Barangay Pag-ibig sa Nayon’ along Pineda St., Balintawak, Quezon City.  That day, the recipients of the Christmas Aid were all solo parents.

“This is a special day for me because we gave help to 200 solo parents,” Chemist Pinky happily disclosed.

Councilor Bernard Herrera supports this charity work with the all-out help of sponsors, like Super Sam of Gerry Sy, and Nikki Sarmiento, EVP for Vitarich, Cook’s Fresh Chicken, Rocko’s Fried Chicken, and Mega Sardines.

Lending the glitter to the event were celebrities Nicole Cordoves, Aaron Villaflor, and Kapuso actor Gil Cuerva.

“All we want is to give aid and cheer this Christmas season to solo parents who are all alone in raising their own children. May they feel the love of Christmas despite this pandemic.

“I have no political motives in doing this. No plans of running…I just want to help ease their burdens and make you solo parents happy this holiday season,” Chemist Pinky told the solo parents who came and claimed the aid from Grateful Tuesdays.

“A grateful heart is a magnet for Miracles,” Chemist Pinky ended.
