As part of his annual tradition, President Rodrigo Duterte visited pediatric cancer patients in Davao City on Saturday.
The President, as shown in photos released by the Palace, gave gifts and kissed patients at the Southern Philippines Medical Center Children’s Cancer Institute.
The President was seen handing an “ampao” or Chinese red envelope usually used to give cash gifts.
He was accompanied by his long-time aide Senator Christopher “Bong” Go.
One of the young patients held a sign saying “I heart Kuya Bong Go, Tatay Digong.”
Visiting cancer patients in his hometown has been his tradition since he was still a mayor.
Like in previous years, President Duterte celebrated the holidays with his family in Davao City.
