Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) annual Grand Fiesta Manila heats up this Christmas season as one of the country’s top performers Lea Salonga stages her two-night concert at the award-winning Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) in The Gift: A Christmas Special on Dec. 21 and 22.
With the success of her Perfect Ten concert at RWM in August, Lea returns onstage with a holiday performance that promises to bring in the holiday cheer and captivate music fans of all ages.
Throughout the years, Lea has stamped her position as one of the best theater actresses in the world today with her memorable roles in Les Misérables, CATS, Allegiance, and most recently, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Younger ones know Lea as the voice behind Disney princesses Jasmine and Mulan, and as the no-nonsense judge and mentor in The Voice Philippines.
Joining the Tony and Olivier-winning Broadway star for The Gift are her special guests Esang de Torres, Nicole Chien, Gaea Salipot, Ian Prelligera, Alexa Salcedo, and Cyd Pangca in special Christmas numbers that the whole family will enjoy. Adding more power to an already star-studded line-up is the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Gerard Salonga.
Recently, the world-class theater actress wrapped up her commitments for the Australian concert tour of Sweeney Todd in Singapore and is getting ready to celebrate the holidays with her Pinoy fans via her two-night concert in RWM which incidentally will also be directed by Sweeney Todd vocal director and theater veteran ManMan Angsico.
