‘Avoid Taguig roads affected by MIFF parade’

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Wednesday advised commuters and motorists to avoid major roads in Taguig City that will be affected by the Metro Manila Film Festival’s Parade of Stars.

Roads and areas to be affected by the parade beginning at 12 noon of Dec. 22 (Sunday) are Lakeshore, C-6 Road, M.L Quezon Avenue, MRT Avenue, Cuasay, Carlos. P Garcia (C-5) Service Road, Upper Mckinley Road, Lawton Avenue—5th  Street, Mckinley Parkway,  32nd Street, 7th Avenue, 26th Avenue, 5th Avenue, LeGrand Avenue, and Chateau Road.

In its advisory, the MMDA public information office stated that floats carrying celebrities of eight official entries in this year’s film festival will be featured in the parade to be hosted by the city government of Taguig.

Road closure will be implemented along ML Quezon (from Dr. A. Santos to MRT), along MRT (from M.L Quezon to Cuasay), along Cuasay (from MRT to C-5), and in  C-5 Service Road cor. Cayetano Boulevard. Joel 

Counterflow vehicles will be allowed along Upper Mckinley Road from  C-5 to Lawton Ave.,   Lawton –  5th Street from Upper Mckinley to Mckinley Parkway, and along 32nd Avenue (from Mckinley Parkway to 7th Avenue).

Stop and go traffic will be implemented at C-5 – Upper Mckinley,  C-5 Service Road – Sampaguita bridge, Mckinley Parkway – 26th Avenue.
