The Philippines and the Chinese government has sought to strengthen cooperation in media and communications, particularly in radio and online platforms.

The China Media Group, during their Thursday courtesy visit to the Philippine Information Agency headquarters in Quezon City, expressed interest to exchanges in the new media.

“Besides the news exchanges and the film cooperation, we expect to have more cooperation in the radio and new media,” said Huang Chuanfang, a member of CMG’s editorial board.

The Presidential Communications Operations Office has previously forged multiple agreements with the Chinese-owned media outfits such as rebroadcasts, joint production, personnel and information exchanges, workshops, and seminars.

PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar said that he hopes to maintain the good relationship between Chinese and local media outfits.
