Fruitful, lasting partnership

Seafarers’ welfare advocate and Worldwide Maritime Operations Company (WMOC) President Rachelle Orquiza posed with Panama Maritime Authority director Captain Juan Maltez at the conclusion of the latter’s five-day visit to the Philippines last September to inspect training centers for seamen, meet up with Manila Mayor Isko Domagoso, and reaffirm his support to the Philippine maritime industry. He described Filipino seafarers as hardworking and instrumental in the success of Panama’s fleet of ships, the largest in the world, as Filipino workers make up for 42 percent of its workforce.
