Binibining Pilipinas International 2019 winner Atty. Bea Patricia ‘Patch’ Magtanong is set to fly to Japan to compete in the 59th edition of the Miss International beauty pageant.

Will Patch win for the country for the seventh time and inch closer to Venezuela’s eight victories?

The 25-year-old lawyer and model, who graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines and also has a degree in Business Economics, was gorgeous in a silver cocktail when she faced the press during the traditional send-off ceremony. It was tendered for her at Novotel Manila by her Bb. Pilipinas family and fellow queens, led by BPCI chairperson Stella Marquez Araneta and Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados.

“The past few months have been so hard, so difficult, not anything that I have experienced before. But every time I felt tired, I think that I’m doing this not just for myself, but for a hundred million Filipinos who love pageantry. I’m excited to show you what I have been preparing for this pageant. I promise to do everything that I could possibly do to win,” Patch said in her opening statement.

“When my mom and sister told me to just have fun, I said I’ll think about it,” Patch said in jest.

The bedimpled beauty from Bataan wants to set up a legal assistance program for inmates who cannot afford to hire lawyers to regain freedom.

In Miss International, she will be facing about 90 delegates from around the world, one whom is Miss Japan Tomomi Okada, who interestingly is the daughter of the late actor Masumi Okada who hosted the Japan-based pageant for several years the last time in 2005 when Lara Quigaman won the title.

Miss International 2019 will be held at Tokyo Dome City Hall, Bunkyo, Tokyo on Nov. 12 where Venezuela’s Mariem Velazco will crown her successor.
