My Furry Bestie

This corner features pets of animal lovers every week. We hope new owners and those thinking of getting a pet will be encouraged to be responsible “furparents” through these features. We also hope more people will be moved to be kind to animals when they read about the great relationship that can be created between humans and animals.

My Furry Bestie - Rain

RAIN was found by owner Martin Almendral one afternoon going home from school.

Martin tried searching for Rain’s mommy cat or his other siblings but did not find them. Martin decided to bring Rain home.

Rain was so tiny when Martin found him, thus he believes Rain was only a few  days old at that time.

Martin used to bring Rain with him to school every day so he can feed the kitten.

Now sweet Rain is more than a month old and is beginning to be playful.  He gets along well with his  fur brothers and sisters in his furparent’s home.

He loves to be at Martin’s side and to cuddle when he is sleepy.

My Furry Bestie - Mighty

MIGHTY was rescued by owner Xtian Penia last week beside a staircase inside a mall.

“Tiny as she is, Mighty fit right inside my backpack,” Xtian says.

“I brought her home. Mighty was a week old then. The vet can not say yet what her gender is but I think of her as a ‘she,’” Xtian shares.

“She is given milk and she loves fish,” Xtian says.

Mighty has her own bed now which furparent Xtian puts beside his bed every night to make the tiny kitten feel secure and loved.

“I am looking forward to more pasyal moments with my pal. ” Xtian says.
