The husband of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Friday asked the Sandiganbayan for a permission to travel abroad.
In a motion dated Oct. 15, lawyer Jose Miguel Arroyo sought permission to visit Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong.

Arroyo is facing graft charges against in connection with the controversial 2009 sale of secondhand Raven I helicopters to the Philippine National Police which were passed off as brand new.
Arroyo said he is scheduled to fly to Singapore for a medical checkup per his doctor’s advice on Oct. 24.
Arroyo’s urgent motion, however, also showed that his proposed itinerary also include stops in other places such as Japan and Hong Kong.
