A low pressure area east of Aurora province developed into a tropical depression named “Perla” Wednesday morning.

As of 5 p.m. yesterday, the center of “Perla” was estimated at one kilometer east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
Packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kms per hour and gustiness of 55 kph, it was moving west northwest at 25 kph.
