Phoenix and Isla join bandwagon, raise LPG prices

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines and Isla Petroleum also raised the price of their cooking gas to reflect the movement of the contract price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in the international market.

Phoenix Petroleum said it raised the price of its Phoenix Super LPG by P4.50 per kilo and auto LPG by P2.50 per liter from 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 1.

Isla Petroleum also raised the price of its Solane LPG by P3.98 per kilo from 6 a.m. on Oct. 1.

The two companies issued separate advisories after  Petron Corp. said it will raise the price of its LPG by P4.50 per kilo or P49.50 per 11-kilogram tank starting at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday.  Petron also raised the price of its auto LPG by P2.50 per liter.

“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of October, said Petron, the Philippines’ biggest oil company.

The price of LPG now ranges from P599.50 to P744.50 per 11-kilogram tank. The oil companies adjust LPG prices monthly and pump prices weekly.

According to the Energy department’s latest report, Petron supplied 29.05 percent of the total LPG demand in the first half.

Liquigaz followed with 21.6 percent, South Pacific with 16.4 percent, and Isla Gas and Prycegas with  12.9 percent and 10.6 percent, respectively.
