Immigration agents arrested five foreigners who were wanted in their home countries and for violating the country’s immigration laws—as part of the agency’s continuing drive against undesirable and overstaying aliens.

Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said arrested were two Americans,  two Chinese and a New Zealander in separate operations in Mindanao, Samar and Pampanga provinces.

The New Zealander, identified as Alan James Linton,  was arrested in his residence at Sugarland Subd. in Valencia City, Bukidnon.

He is wanted by authorities in his country where he was twice convicted for sexually abusing children.

BI authorities described Linton as potential risk to Filipino children either through physical contact or via Internet due to his record as a pedophile.

The arrested two Chinese, Wu Zhijie and Wu Jiajiang, were caught selling retail goods without proper work permit and visa. They were arrested in Catbalogan City.

The two were arrested after the bureau received complaints from small Filipino traders in Catbalogan alleging that the said aliens were robbing their business opportunities.

Meanwhile, the BI will nabbed two Americans in Pampanga due to large-scale fraud cases that federal authorities have filed against them in Texas.

The Americans, Robert Wayne Boling Jr., and Allan Albert Velarde Kerr,  were arrested in Angeles and Mabalacat, respectively, by operatives from the Bureau’s Fugitive Search Unit.

They will l be deported for being undesirable aliens and because they have become undocumented since their passports expired several years ago.

“They will be sent home to face trial for the crimes they allegedly committed.  Also, their continued presence here poses a risk to public safety and security,” BI spokesperson Melvin Mabulac said.
