The 12-year-old Home School Global bet Racasa yielded to Ruiyang after 42 moves of Sniper defense using the black pieces.

Despite the loss, Racasa is still tied for 4th-8th places with 7.0 points along with four other players. She has gained 137.6 rating points from ten games according to Robert her father/coach.

“She began as the 45th seed among ninety players but she was able to play on Board 1 on penultimate round. She was able to upset seeded number nine and ten respectively. So proud of you anakis Antonella,” said Robert who is also an International Memory champion.

“Although it’s a heart breaking loss for our pambato Antonella, still we are joyous for the numerous upsets that she has done against high caliber player. It only proves that we can be at par with world class players.”

Third seed Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Galina Mikheeva (Elo 1952) of Russia toppled compatriot 4th seed Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Alexandra Shvedova (Elo 1932) to catch Ruiyang on top with 9.0 points.

Eighth seed Woman Candidate Master WCM Alua Nurmanova (Elo 1850) of Kazakhstan trounced 25th seed Wang Xiyue (Elo 1540) of China to remain solo third with 8.5 points.

Racasa’s China trip is sponsored by Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. chair and CEO Andrea Domingo, D. Edgard Cabangon of ALC Group of companies, Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos and Councilor Charisse Abalos.
