East Asia Super League is thrilled to announce that The Terrific 12, the FIBA-recognized premier preseason event of the summer, hosted at Macao’s Tap Seac Multi-Sport Pavilion on Sept 17 to 22, will feature eleven national team players from seven clubs across China, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines.
Before colliding in Macao to compete for The Terrific 12 crown and lucrative cash prizes with their club teams, national team players will first compete in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 in China. A record 32 national teams meet throughout eight Chinese cities from Aug. 31 to Sept. 15.
After a year’s worth of fighting for the top positions in their respective leagues, twelve (12) of the top clubs throughout East Asia have assembled their best lineups and national team players to clash in The Terrific 12. Fans can catch the following national team players participating in The Terrific 12 as well as the FIBA Basketball World Cup:
• China: Guo Ailun (Liaoning Flying Leopards), Sun Minghui (Zhejiang Guangsha Lions) and Zhao Jiwei (Liaoning Flying Leopards)
• Japan: Kosuke Takeuchi (Utsunomiya Brex) and Makoto Hiejima (Utsunomiya Brex)
• South Korea: Choi Jun-yong (Seoul SK Knights), Kim Sun-hyung (Seoul SK Knights) and Lee Jung-hyun (Jeonju KCC Egis)
• Philippines: June Mar Fajardo (San Miguel Beermen), Roger Pogoy (TNT KaTropa) and Troy Rosario (TNT KaTropa)
National team players will then re-join their professional clubs for The Terrific 12. Participating club lineups will also boast top foreign imports such as former NBA players Aaron Jackson (Zhejiang Guangsha), Jack Cooley (Ryukyu Golden Kings), Jameel Warney (Seoul SK Knights), K.J. McDaniels (TNT KaTropa), Lance Stephenson (Liaoning Flying Leopards), Pierre Jackson (Shenzhen Aviators) and Shabazz Muhammad (Shenzhen Aviators).
