Immigration agents arrested four Indian nationals for illegally staying in the country and working without the necessary working permits.
BI Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. said the aliens were arrested in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, through the operation conducted by Immigration agents in the area.
Commissioner Jaime Morente who issued warrant after his office received complaints about the alleged “5-6” lending activities of the said Indian nationals.
They were identified as Manjot Singh, Mandeep Singh, Boota Singh, and Gurpreet Singh.
“All four were later brought to the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa pending their deportation proceedings,” Manahan said.
He said Manjot Singh will be deported for harboring and concealing Mandeep Singh, who is an overstaying alien in the country.
