Nikola Pavlovic scored eight points for Pasig Chooks, which won over The Hague, 20-18, at the end of their campaign in the 2019 FIBA 3X3 Xiongan Challenger over the weekend.
The Philippine-based club team finished in a three-way tie for the lead with their 1-1 win-loss record.
But, Pasig-Chooks failed to advance to the next stage due to a tiebreak record based total points scored.
Beijing, which won over Pasig earlier in the day, 22-14, had 38 points to lead the pack.
The Hague, which stopped Beijing, 18-16, accumulated 36 points to earn the second slot
Pasig led, 19-12, with 2:25 left, and the Filipino squad tried to end things quickly and early.
After misfiring on their deuces, or two-point shots, The Hague took advantage of this as Kasper Averink, Julian Jaring, and big man Bas Rozendaal bulldozed their way to the paint with a 6-0 run to cut the lead to one.
Baz Rozendaal, who stands 7-foot, had nine points to lead the way for The Hague.
Up next for Pasig Chooks is the 2019 Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 Magiting Cup, which opens on Sept. 1 at the SM Clark Events Center.
Pasig will also be part of the Manila Challenger, a qualifier for the Jeddah Masters.
