‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ marks box-office record in the Middle East

Blockbuster romantic movie Hello, Love, Goodbye set records in the Middle East on its first week of screening in the region.

The film, which stars Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, is now considered the highest-grossing Filipino film in the Middle East with a total gross of more than one million dollars as of Aug. 18. While as of Aug. 16 it has reached more than P600 million gross in the Philippines and more than $2 million worldwide.

‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ is well on its way to becoming the highest-grossing local film with its gross revenue close to P1 Billion. 

Adding to that, Hello, Love, Goodbye is the first Filipino-produced film that screens in Jeddah and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. The excitement for the film was undeniable, that the region has recorded six sold-out special premiere screenings, which happened on Aug. 9 and 10 at the Reel Cinemas in The Dubai Mall and Al Ghurair Mall, in Dubai; and Oscar Cinemas in Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi.

It is also the first Filipino film that will be screened in the prestigious Dubai Opera, which can accommodate 2,000 people. The screening is today. 

Hello, Love, Goodbye , which has extended screenings in the Middle East, tells the story of Joy (Kathryn Bernardo) and Ethan (Alden Richards), two young overseas Filipinos in Hong Kong whose meeting will impact each other’s view and plans in life.
