If children were the people responsible for creating the laws, they would focus on fair compensation, safe and clean environment, quality education, culture and history, and technological advancement.

CongreZZ Kids Juhi Chandiramani and Gian Cera want stricter rules governing the environment.

The aforementioned “platforms” were conveyed by the newly elected kids representing the KidZania Manila CongreZZ when they visited the Senate of the Philippines earlier this month.

Fourteen children, aged 8 to 15 years old, who will serve as KidZania Manila’s legislators for the next two years, presented their manifestos to Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan during their Senate tour.

The CongreZZ Kids are tasked to help govern the recreation center, discuss trends affecting their generation, and propose rules and innovations to help continue making the play city an ideal place for children where they can learn the value of hard work through the power of role play.

Andrea Sta. Maria, 10 years old, Kian Jimenez, 11, and Liz Castigo, 9, regard the importance of hard work and they want to have regulations that stand by its value, particularly on fair labor compensation.

Meanwhile, 12-year-old Angela de Guzman and 10-year-old Gian Cera and Juhi Chandiramani want stricter rules governing the environment “because we only have one world to live in and we should save it.”

Happy Aguilar, 11, Jiada Javier, 9, and Renz Emperador, 15, emphasized that learning should be adaptable to capture the attention of today’s children.

“We should have something that interests the children and suitable for the generation in today’s world. If something interests the child, they would enjoy learning it,” said Happy.

Young legislators Jillian Salina, 9, Kate Amarille, 10, and Kim Amarille, 8, believe in the importance of the Filipino language, Philippine history, and culture in connecting citizens. While Patricia Balatbat, 13, and Riley Catral, 10 see today’s digital world as key in providing more jobs for Filipinos.

Together these children will work for the welfare of KidZania Manila and its young CitiZens in line with the “Generation KidZania: Kids building a better world” campaign.
