The City Government of Caloocan was hailed as the Best Performing Local Government Unit in the Implementation of the Department of Labor and Employment Integrated Livelihood Program in the National Capital Region.
The awarding of local government units is one of the categories under the Kabuhayan Awards: Awarding of Best DOLE-Assisted Livelihood Projects that aims to recognize the exemplary performance of the beneficiaries of the DILP, as well as the DOLE partners.
In behalf of Mayor Oca Malapitan, Caloocan Public Employment Service Office head Ms. Violeta Gonzales received the award at the Manila Prince Hotel.
Beneficiary Michael dela Cruz’s Silya Upholstery was also named as the Best DOLE Livelihood Assisted Project.
“We are glad that our constituents are giving importance to our programs. I assure them that we will continue to provide sustainable livelihood programs for the Caloocan residents,” Mayor Oca said.
