“As part of our ‘High Tech’ promise to our customers, we’re expanding our product portfolio to meet their increasingly varied digital needs. Aside from our reliable data and voice services, we’re venturing into cyber security and cloud services provided by global innovation leaders,” shared Eastern Communications Co-Coordinator Atty. Aileen Regio.

As it enters the Philippine market, DOSarrest partners with Eastern Communications to provide better cloud-based Internet security services in the country, effectively equipping companies with cutting-edge cyber security technology.

Enterprise level cyberattack solutions

In today’s business environment, companies are at risk of cyberattacks from a variety of threat landscapes, with DDoS being one of the most popular. A DDoS attack is when illegitimate Internet traffic is sent to a network or website in an effort to flood a network’s infrastructure and/or exhaust a server’s resources. The result is that legitimate websites visitors’ requests cannot be fulfilled by the overwhelmed network or webserver.

DOSarrest is widely known for their DDoS Protection product, which can prevent even the most sophisticated DDoS attacks. DOSarrest employs a three-layered approach which even includes a Web Application Firewall (WAF). With company websites being constantly updated and application add-ons are added and removed, this can inadvertently expose a website to cyber threats. DOSarrest’s WAF can prevent these risks, allowing clients to easily block any Layer 7 threat like cross-site forgery, cross-site scripting, among others.

DOSarrest also offers a Data Center Defender (DCD), developed specifically to protect network infrastructure and can continuously monitor volumetric traffic anomalies every few seconds.

Along with these flagship products include Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP),  Website Vulnerability Test Optimization (VTO) and Cyber Attack Preparation Platform (CAPP).

Website Performance Optimization

As more and more business is done online, companies need to enhance their website performance to meet the sophisticated demands of their visitors.  Aside from protecting a business’ assets from cyberthreats, DOSarrest is also here to help companies offer an improved digital experience for their website users.

Their Content Delivery Network (CDN) creates a better user experience as it generates faster loading of a website, which saves companies money yet increases performance at the same time. Companies can also spread out website resource requirements across 2 or more servers through Geo Load Balancing Service. This helps hosts accommodate thousands of visitors per day and checks on client’s servers to maintain 100% uptime.

For businesses that are geographically load balancing websites, it also pays to monitor the website activity. A company website may appear fine when viewing from a vantage point but it does not mean it’s also completely available in other parts of the world. DOSarrest’s External Monitoring Service has eight sensors globally distributed which can track multiple websites at glance, compare performance for all sensors real-time, set alerts and calculates uptime.

“Here in Eastern Communications, we’re excited to partner with leading companies in cybersecurity like DOSarrest.  We look forward to offering their services to the Philippine market as part of our commitment to bring best-in-class cybersecurity and cloud solutions to Filipino businesses,” said Eastern Communications Co-Coordinator Ramon Aesquivel.

“Eastern Communications offers top-shelf Internet security services and our fully-managed cloud-based portfolio of services will be an excellent fit. When it comes to customer care, both Eastern and DOSarrest have the same mindset that the customers come first, and this is why we are delighted to have chosen Eastern Communications as our partner here in the Philippines,” shared DOSarrest CEO Mark Teolis.

DOSarrest’s products and services will be available in the Philippines this May 2019.
