Now, just a few days away from Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio's highly anticipated return to ONE Championship, Team Lakay has high hopes that the Filipino dynamo will leave “The Lion City” with his hand raised.

The former ONE Flyweight World Champion is set to lock horns against the towering Kim Kyu Sung at ONE: ENTER THE DRAGON, which takes place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, 17 May.

This will be Eustaquio’s second match of 2019. The last time he appeared in the promotion, he dropped his World Title to Brazilian star Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes in their trilogy bout at ONE: HERO’S ASCENT in Manila last January.

The stakes are high for the 30-year-old Baguio City native, as it will mark the start of his quest of reclaiming his lost crown.

Seeing him work for the last few weeks, Eustaquio’s teammates are fairly confident for “Gravity” heading into this contest.

“Ever since he lost to Moraes, he became obsessed with becoming better. I saw it in him in almost every day we have been together,” said ONE Strawweight World Champion Joshua “The Passion” Pacio.

“You cannot put a determined and focused man down. With the Lord’s help, he’ll get that big win in Singapore.”

Fellow flyweight contender Danny Kingad has the utmost confidence in his veteran teammate.

In fact, he believes that Eustaquio’s incredible mindset will be his biggest advantage against the South Korean.

“He was never absent during training sessions, and he never misses a detail when reviewing the game of his opponent,” Kingad said.

“I’ve seen his thirst to redeem himself and get the World Title back. Seeing him prepare is really inspiring.”

Despite the daunting task which awaits Eustaquio in Singapore, Pacio has little doubt as to what will happen on 17 May.

“We know that it’s not gonna be easy for kuya Geje, but it’s his opponent who must be careful,” he warned. “It’s a different Geje Eustaquio he’ll be facing.”
